Diet. Dieting. Dietness.

I despise dieting. 

All I can think about is what I can't have to eat. 

This is most likely why I fail so miserably at this. Today I've ate an ice cream sandwich and chips and salsa. Maybe I should add some fruit and veggies to my day? Maybe some lean protein?  But it is my sons birthday, so most likely I will have something bad to eat for dinner and cake. 

I'm not passing on the birthday cake. 

Maybe I'll walking an extra mile... Or two or three.

Dear Future Self,

I think it's time to make some changes that my future self would appreciate. I know I have a long list of things that need changed but, it's going to have to be one at a time. So for today I'm going to start with eating healthier. My plan is to eat more protein; like chicken tuna and other fish. I'm going to eat more whole grains less white bread. More veggies. More fruit. Less chocolate. I am going to warn you, less chocolate means grouchy. So, that's a start. And everybody knows you have to start somewhere. Adios Muchachas, Mel
